The most satisfying feeling in a poker tournament (not counting winning) is to eliminate another player. Not only do you usually win a large pot, but you also realize that you have just come one step closer to winning the tournament. Even if you dont win every time, the feeling of having just knocked out another player can be just as rewarding. Now the reward is more than just pride; you get cash every time you eliminate another player from Tuxpoker Bounty tournaments!

In a Bounty tournament a percentage of the prize pool is used for bounties of all the participating players. The overall prize structure stays the same but there is added extra value by knocking out other players and receiving cash in every elimination.

Regardless of your tournament placing, you can make a real profit by eliminating other players from the tournament. For example, in a 2$ buy-in tournament, 1$ contributes to the regular prize pool and 1$ goes to the bounty field. Every player has a $1 bounty on their head, and by eliminating two players you have earned back the buy-in cost, leaving only real profit to be gained from that point on!

Bounty tournaments will be available with many different prize structures. Prize structures can be customized to a bounty of 10% of the buy-in, or a grand 100% of the buy-in. It is easiest to look at the tournament listings in the Tuxpoker client to see the prize structure in our upcoming tournaments.
