If you enjoy playing many tables at the same time you will appreciate the ability to resize windows in the Tuxpoker software. Tile several windows around your desktop to easily play more poker hands!

The software graphics will still look great since Tuxpoker utilizes vector graphics; graphics that remains clear and not pixelated.

At Tuxpoker we know that it is the small things that make a big difference, so we made it possible to resize the windows and made sure that the graphics remains clear and unpixelated no matter what size you make your window.

If you play poker several hours each day, the best thing for your eyesight is to use a pokerclient that have good, clear graphics that doesnít wear out your eyes. This is exactly what Tuxpoker offers; you can try it out yourself by maximizing your window on a 24 inch monitor!

Emoticons

Table talk is a big part of poker. At Tuxpoker some phrases are transformed into animated smileys when you type words in the chat box.

There are alot of secret smileyís that only pop up when you use the right words/phrases, so use the chat box to discover cool animations that put your opponents on tilt!

Quick Start

Eager to start playing soon? Are you in a rush to get to the tables? Sometimes you donít need the hassle of searching for a game. Use the Quick Start feature and get to the tables instantly.

You will find the Quick Start box with four drop-down menus at the left of the lobby. Youíre your table selection from game type, table type, stakes and minimum number of players and click Play Now and you will be taken to a table that meet your preferences. No unnecessary clicks and no wasted time on finding the right game; just tell us what you want and we will provide it!

You can return to the window with the Quick Start feature at any given time in the Tuxpoker client, just click the News tab.

Show one card

If you fold for a big bet or try your luck at a huge bluff, you have the option of showing one of your cards to your opponents to keep them on their toes.

Some online poker rooms let you show both your hole cards but we try to make your gaming experience as realistic and similar to real live casinos as possible but from the safety of your own home.

If you show one card your opponents will guess if you ìhad itî or not, and the game will be more fun!
Let say you have the highest pair with a weak kicker and you could not call a big bet ñ then you might sow your highest card to prove that you atleast didnít play a complete bluff. Alternatively you can show one of your lower cards to make it appear as if you were bluffing. In any way, by showing just one card you generally get your opponents ask more questions about the card you didnít show than the card that you did show. This is just one of many ways that you can control what your table image online at Tuxpoker.

Player Tags

Do you think someone is a fish? Tag them so the next time you face them at the table you know what type of player you are up against. Choose your own descriptions to go with our range of player tags.

To tag a player while at the table you simply click the player and choose an icon. You can also type notes on a player and whether or not you want to see the playerís table chat.

You can also tag players from the lobby. Simply click the Add button in the Contacts window I the lower left corner of the lobby, then enter the player name and click Tag.

Under the Options tag in the same window you can now both label your tags to make them more personal, and also choose to be notified when a certain contact logs on.

Play it twice

If you are a poker professional that have pot odds, variance and EV all figured out, we have yet another feature in our online poker, designed to give all players the chance to try a dealing option that have gained popularity in live cash games.

We have implemented Play it twice at Tuxpoker. In summary, Play it twice let two players that are All-in the option to deal the turn- and river cards twice.

Playing turn and river gives a player a more chances to hit his outs and improve the hand. Of course, his opponents will also get more chances to hit their outs which only adds to the excitement of online poker!

Play it twice is completely optional; both players must accept Play it twice for a particular hand. If a player do not agree the turn and river will only be dealt once, just like normal. Players also have the option to permanently disable the Play it twice feature so that only those that really need to continuously make a decision after going All-in.

a big tournament you can win special trophyís that will show off your best efforts. It is like our own
version of a World Series of Poker bracelet! If you have yet to win a big tournament, that is not a
reason for you not to be rewarded. We offer stars for frequent play. The more you play, the more stars
you get. This is a sure way to win respect at the table you are playing!

Time bank

Do you need more time to make a decision? The latest version of our software (v 4.4) has many new features, one of them being a Time bank. The time bank is exactly what it sounds like, a bank with time. Essentially it gives you extra time when you need to make those tough decisions.

I tournament play the amount of time in the bank is set by what type of tournament it is. When a player wants to use the Time bank they must activate it by clicking the button right above the betting slider. You can activate the Time bank when your regular time is almost out. The time bank appears in the player box and shows how many seconds you have left. When you have played your hand the remaining time is saved until the next time you want to use this feature.

The same thing applies to ring games; but ring games let players continuously save time and fill their Time Bank until it is full again.

A really great feature for those times when you really need to think about wether or not to make a big call!

Comp points

Comp points are something players earn by playing qualified tournaments and ring games with real money at Tuxpoker.

Tournaments award players with a certain amount of comp points. The amount shows in the tournament detail window when you register. Ring games award comp points to all players that are active in a raked hand given on a regular schedule.

To start a game is a good way to get a lot of action and it can ensure experience and a constant table image at the table for every new player that sits down. We have a wide range of tables open for players and we now offer a bonus for those who sit down and start a game!

At Tuxpoker every player that first sits down at a ring game with real money earns twice the amount of comp points during a session with at least four players. Get action on heads-up game up to games with three opponents and earn twice the amount of comp points on each played hand!

Comp points already have a number of uses, and the more action you create the more points you will earn. A chance to earn twice the amount of comp points just by starting games? Thatís means a huge difference for your online poker play!

Rabbit Hunt

If you have ever played in a real casino, you know that one of the most common requests a Dealer gets is "Letís see what would have come out!" This is known as "rabbit hunting" at Tuxpoker.com

You can always see what cards would have been dealt eventually with our Rabbit Hunt feature. This feature can only be used when a hand is over, so don't worry; your cards are only visible to yourself during the hand.

This is a good way to show your opponents a bluff or semi bluff, or just to sate your curiosity whether or not it was a good decision to fold a hand or not.

The only catch is that to gain the privilege to see the remaining cards you must show what your hole cards were. Use this wisely!

Bad Beat Jackpot

Bad beats happen to all players eventually, but at Tuxpoker you have the chance to win big after loosing with a monster hand!

In all Texas Hold’em games you try to maximize your value when you get four of a kind. To go All-in is more common than rare during those circumstances, but what happens if your opponent holds higher quads or even a Royal Straight Flush?

At our special ring game tables with jackpot we use 50 cent from each pot for the Bad Beat Jackpot.
